I Lisbeth am the one behind Vitlöken's Kennel and I grew up
with dogs since early childhood and with parents taking part in working dogs activities mostly, since their youth but as they grew older, they went on to Toy Poodles.
My first French Bulldog was bought in 1978 after falling in
love at first sight from the moment I saw a Frenchie.
It was the most charming little creature I had ever seen.
Since then there have only been French Bulldogs in my life.
I have always preferred male ones, I have always felt like time
suddenly stops, when I see a magnificent male Frenchie!
Througout the years there have been quite a few Frenchies -
everyone with its own personality, but in 1999 my biggest love entered
the house - Junibackens Vitlök - aka "Onion"
as we called him at home, an absolutely charming wonderful pied male.
You can see his portrait on the border to the left of the web pages.
He came as grown up after a re-homing and was a fantastic male
both in exterior type, soundness and temperament.
That is why I chose his name as my kennel prefix - now
approved by the SKK Swedish Kennel Club and the FCI - go to:
I lost him in 2003. Shortly before that Onion had mated
a female in Danmark. Naturally I ended up taking a puppy
from the litter, because I wanted to keep this blood line. Here is also a daughter of Jacquella Wild Onion, Demonen's Big Berta, called "Bettan", and she is the first chick who has passed the threshold to this house - en quite lovely, sound and nice piebald full of energy. With her cute gargling sounds she always attracts attention for her way of "talking" to everyone.
I work a lot for the breed and have a burning interest in showing. Those of my Frenchies over the years who have been of high exterior standards have been merited, some of them to Swedish as well as International and Nordic champions. I have matched one FINUCH, INTUCH NORDUCH, three SUCH and two DKUCH. My intended Frenchie breeding will be on a small scale with me and my Frenchies, past and present! Lisbeth Andersson
